Charsoon Magic Cube 50W Review

The Magic Cube of Charsoon is a battery charger ... a little special. To be very honest, I'm not sure I fully understood how it works. The principle ? It is based on a central block, the Magic Core. It is a block of 185 grams, dimensions 6.6 x 9.55 cm, which constitutes the nerve center of the charger. It is powered in 11 to 18V, and provides 2x50W max, 2x5A max, to recharge batteries from 2S to 6S, type Lipo, LiFe and LiHv. It is equipped with a color LCD touch screen. But this block does not load anything, it is devoid of catches. It is necessary to graft to it additional blocks, which come to fit right or left. You can put up to 16 in all. The Magic Cube is therefore a modular system from which you choose the number of elements and their function.

Available blocks

Each block weighs 95 grams, for dimensions of 6.6 x 6.47 cm. The Magic Cube Cell A is designed to charge 2S to 6S batteries via a conventional balancing plug. The Magic Cube Cell B is designed to charge DJI Phantom 3 batteries. The Magic Cube Cell C offers 4 charging ports in USB, with 2A per connector. Finally the Magic Cube Cell D is equipped with 2 red JST jacks, two Molex 2.0 jacks and two other jacks that seem to be Losi. The prices ? The Magic Core will be offered at a little more than 36 € at Banggood (with the port but without taxes), from March 7, 2017. Count 13 € for a Magic Cube Cell A, 14 € for a Magic Cube Cell B, 10 € for a Magic Cube Cell C, and € 12 for a Magic Cube Cell D.

What I did not understand…

Maybe you will be able to help me to decrypt the data sheet and the manual (to download here)? The 6 indicators on the screen appear to correspond to the state of the 6 cells (max) of a laden battery. How much can you charge in batteries simultaneously? "Whenever a group of 2 batteries is charged, the charger automatically switches to the next group. The Magic Core is the control center that allows you to charge 2 batteries simultaneously. Regarding the Magic Cube Cell C, the data sheet indicates the Yuneec battery holder, but the cable is not compatible. Bizarre. For the Magic Cell D block, the batteries to be charged are mainly 1S ... while the Magic Cube is given for 2S to 6S. Bizarre weird.

Additionally, if you happen need to purchase some rc drone parts, you can search via Banggood website, which is one of the wholesale platform to provide affordable prices, such as fpv fatshark,  shark fpv, etc.
